Join the Holyoke communty in celebrating local poets, artists, musicians, actors, and dancers at the first ever Noche de Arte. We will have performances by talented members of our community throughout the evening at our beautiful 30 acre urban community farm.

Visit the Holyoke Farmers Market today and DOUBLE your EBT and WIC and Senior farmers market coupon benefits.

Through a partnership with the City of Holyoke and the Wholesome Wave Foundation we will be handing out wooden tokens that will double these benefits starting on the 29th. This campaign supports healthy eating for all Holyoke families and sales for our local farmers! Through this program we hope to make the Holyoke farmers market accessible and successful

Learn how to make a mixed berry jam from fresh berries and preserve it in jars to enjoy throughout the season.

This workshop is the first in a 3-part series on home preserving. Participate in the jam making process, learn what tools and steps to follow, and go home with fresh jam!

This Saturday, Nuestras Raices Farm will be hosting Co-op Powers 6th Annual Sustainable Energy Summit. We would like to invite everyone to come and participate in this exciting event!!!

ExtravaGREENza

ExtravaGREENza, an epic event on the farm.

This Saturday, June 5th, Youth Groups from around Holyoke got together in a summit to discuss Green initiatives here in Holyoke, and to share the work that each group has been doing. As the clouds tried making their ways into the day, the event began with a scrumptious FEEST: Food Empowerment Education Sustainability Team.

Bikes, light bulbs and natural cleaning solutions were all raffled off during the day, with many participants leaving with something to hold on to.

Students from Holyoke Works' new Green Careers Program, with Support from Nuestras Raices, are organizing the first Holyoke Youth ExtravaGReenza!!!!!

This Saturday Diverse Holyoke Youth Groups will come togetherto share their work to help environmental causes, promote energy efficiency, advocate for environmental justice issues, and promote local food production.


This Saturday at Nuestras Raices Farm from 12-4.

Nuestras Raices Interim Executive Co-Directors Appointed

New leaders have been appointed to shepherd Nuestras Raices until the appointment of a new executive director. Maria Salgado and Tito Santana have agreed to share responsibilities as Interim Executive Co-Directors.

Nuestras Raices Teaches "Chickens"

ChickensChickensOn Thursday May 20th, Amy Calandrella and Diego Angarita lead a chicken workshop at Nuestras Raices' Farm. The workshop focused on benefits of owning chickens, how to clean and prepare a cage, and how to keep your chickens healthy.
Not only did Calandrella and Angarita speak on the short term benefits, they also touched upon how much oil the chicken process goes through, and how we can benefit not only our pockets but the earth by owning our own chickens.
