Many Nuestras Raíces members grew up on farms in Puerto Rico and many first came to the Northeast as migrant farm workers. They have lifetimes of experience in agriculture and are highly skilled farmers. Some are growing herbs and vegetables to sell at the farmers' market and to stores and restaurants.
